Mother's role, Woman is wonderful
Rani is a 26 year old woman. Three years ago, she got married and now she already had a child. She is a career woman; her work is good and her household is going well too. She agreed with her husband that she also wanted to work besides being a housewife. Every day she carries out her role as a mother, a wife, as well as a career woman. In the morning she does housechores and prepares breakfast for her little family. She also takes care of her child. Having everything is ready, Rani leaves for work, and she leaves her child in children daycare. In the afternoon she picks her child up. This is routinely done every day by her. She feels like she is enjoying the days she lives, even though sometimes she feels overwhelmed too. She sometimes feels tired of having to carry out several roles at once.
That story is just an illustration that has happened in our society lately. In the past, women's duties were only staying at home to take care of the household, such as cooking, caring for children, caring for their husbands, cleaning the house and others; or we can say only doing house chores. They focus on growing their children; but over time, this role has shifted. Currently, there are many jobs with female workers. This is due to many factors including demands for increasingly expensive living necessities, more luxurious lifestyle, women emancipation and so on. Furthermore, today many companies prefer to employ female workers, so it is not surprising that we find many women at workforce or working mothers.
This has an effect on how to grow the children. Every family with working mother is not the same in terms of childcare. A family with good economic conditions, or can be said to be affluent, they will choose to have a baby sitter at home, or they can leave the child in daycare, early school and so on. There are also families who prefer to leave their children under the care of their grandparents. This is not only because of economic reason; but another thing is because they think that there is no difference between the care of grandparents and parents, because they are still one family or relatives.
There are several positive and negative effects of having mothers on a workforce. Some of the positive effects are; a working mother can help to ease the family economy. On the other hand, their children will also be trained to live independently, because in childcare, they are accustomed to discipline and do many things independently. Furthermore, children will tend to have more empathy because they are accustomed to share with friends. The negative impact of many working mothers is that children often become stubborn because they lack direct attention and affection from their parents.
In their golden period, mothers should really focus on the grow of their children, because the mother is the first school for a child. Thus children will grow up optimally and be able to enjoy their childhood well. As for the company or work place, they can provide specific policies for working mothers so that the role of mothers can still be carried out properly and optimally.
